Sandisk is a leader in innovative data solutions and is seeking a Senior Business Analyst within the People Experience function. This role focuses on enhancing employee experiences through technology by leveraging automation and AI, while managing relationships with IT and external vendors to drive system enhancements and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery and current‑state analysis: map people processes, user journeys, pain points and data flows to identify value opportunities
- Drive digital and AI transformation initiatives by identifying manual and repetitive people processes and transitioning them into efficient, automated digital workflows
- Design and prototype streamlined HR workflows and service experiences that prioritize usability, accessibility, efficiency, and compliance
- Recommend pragmatic solutions that align with Sandisk’s people strategy, roadmaps, and industry best practices
- Build trusted relationships across the Px and partner teams; present analysis, recommended solutions, and ROI to leadership to secure buy-in
- Elicit and validate business needs through interviews, workshops and observation; challenge legacy assumptions and clarify business value
- Produce implementation-ready artifacts: functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation and data definitions suitable for IT, vendors and contractors
- Translate HR requirements into technical acceptance criteria and coordinate resolution with IT and vendors
- Act as HR’s primary contact for platform vendors (Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, etc.) during configuration, testing and release
- Lead enhancement/implementation phases (requirements → design → configuration oversight → cutover), manage risks, dependencies and handoffs
- Track vendor contracts, SLAs and renewals; evaluate tools/modules and recommend fit-for-purpose options from the systems portfolio
- Own User Acceptance Testing: develop test plans/cases, coordinate HR end-users, capture feedback and triage defects with IT/vendors
- Validate delivered functionality against requirements and user expectations prior to release
- Prepare go-live assets (training materials, quick-reference guides, change communications), run or coordinate training, monitor adoption of metrics, and iterate based on post-launch feedback
- Define HR data elements, quality rules and reconciliation processes; coordinate data governance with IT/security/privacy
- Identify and escalate privacy, access and compliance risks (PII, SOX, CCPA/GDPR where relevant) and work with legal/IT to implement controls
- Maintain documentation to support audits and governance reviews
- Maintain practical, high-level configuration knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow HRSD and other HR systems and their business processes
- Provide tier‑3 troubleshooting support in partnership with IT; monitor and help resolve complex ServiceNow/Workday incidents and tickets
Requirements:
- 6+ years' experience as a business analyst or product/implementation specialist focused on HR systems (Workday, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Led major HR system projects, including requirements, UAT, process mapping, and vendor management
- Advanced expertise in HRIS platforms and their modules
- Experience in complex global organizations with diverse HR practices and compliance
- Strong understanding of HR processes (recruiting, onboarding, talent management, payroll/compensation, absence, performance management) and relevant compliance requirements (SOX, CCPA/GDPR, PII)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation
- Skilled in key process improvement, product, and design methodologies such as; Lean, Agile, Design Thinking, etc
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and technical concepts to enable effective collaboration with IT
