Product Designer with Product Management expertise (South America or Central America-based)

ShakaCode is looking for a skilled Product Designer who can bring valuable product management skills to their team. The role focuses on leading the design process while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align design decisions with business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and final UI design
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately
• Create prototypes and high-fidelity designs that align with the product vision
• Maintain and evolve design systems to ensure consistency across the product
• Work closely with product management to align design work with business goals and user needs
• Contribute to product roadmaps, providing insights from a design perspective
• Assist in prioritizing features and defining product requirements that enhance user experience and business impact
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer support, and engineering, to ensure a cohesive product experience
• Act as an advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a product or UI/UX designer with shipped products in your portfolio
• Proven ability to balance design tasks with strategic product management responsibilities
• Experience creating designs either mobile-first or desktop-first
• Experience with both consumer and business systems
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present ideas clearly
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, or similar
• Strong understanding of product strategy and the ability to contribute to roadmap planning
• Analytical mindset with experience in user research and data-driven decision-making
• Product Management Skills: Work closely with product management to align design work with business goals and user needs
