Ramp Talent is representing Filevine, a company focused on transforming legal work with cloud-based workflow tools. The VP of Product Management will drive the strategy and execution of their legal document platform, leading a team to enhance product vision, development, and delivery in the legal domain.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for one of Filevine’s most important products
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross‑functional team of ~5–10 (product managers, UX designers, engineers)
- Discover, validate, and prioritize high‑impact features in the document / legal domain
- Drive deep domain understanding: legal workflows, compliance, document security, collaboration
- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals (revenue, retention)
- Collaborate across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and legal to deliver high quality features
- Define success metrics (adoption, engagement, performance, retention) and hold the team accountable
- Stay ahead of document technology trends (AI, OCR, indexing, content extraction, collaboration tools)
- Interface with customers, users, and legal tech partners to get feedback and validate direction
- Be a product evangelist internally and externally
Requirements:
- 8+ years product leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
- Proven experience shipping enterprise software — ideally in document management, content systems, workflow tools, or legal / compliance tech
- Experience leading a team of 5–10 product/UX professionals
- Deep understanding of document systems (OCR, indexing, versioning, conflict detection, security)
- Familiar with AI / ML‑based extraction, NLP, or document parsing (or eagerness to develop knowledge)
- Strong communication skills: able to articulate vision, trade‑offs, and priorities to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Customer empathy; experience doing user research, validating features, and iterating based on feedback
- Analytical rigor (data, metrics, experiments)
- Preferably exposure to legal tech, or ability to quickly learn domain constraints (security, compliance, data sensitivity)
- Bonus: familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, integrations
