Keystone Recruitment is a leading global technology organization seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to develop next-generation hardware systems for innovative consumer products. The role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to take early-stage concepts from prototyping through high-volume mass production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design for components, features, or full subsystems
- Own development from early concept through production release
- Drive technical decision-making across the product lifecycle
- Partner with electrical, industrial design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Collaborate with Asia-based manufacturing partners and suppliers
- Contribute to integrated hardware system solutions
- Model, build, test, and iterate prototypes
- Develop characterization test systems
- Conduct simulation and validation activities (FEA, DOE, tolerance analysis)
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize manufacturability and cost
- Perform statistical tolerance analysis and GD&T implementation
- Support transition from prototype to high-volume production
- Push state-of-the-art mechanical solutions
- Solve complex integration challenges in compact, high-performance devices
- Improve product reliability, quality, and performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of mechanical product design experience
- Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX (3D/2D CAD)
- Strong experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Strong experience with Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Strong experience with GD&T and functional dimensioning
- Strong experience with statistical tolerance analysis
- Working knowledge of materials (plastics, elastomers, metals, adhesives, glass)
- Experience with FEA, simulation, and experimental validation
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes: Injection molding, Stamping, Machining, Additive manufacturing
- 10+ years of experience developing handheld or wearable consumer electronics
- Ownership of complex subsystems or full hardware systems
- Experience designing highly cosmetic products in partnership with Industrial Design
- Experience shipping products with Asia-based supply chains
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Experience in human factors design
