Healthcare Data Analyst (FHIR Specialist)

Prodware Solutions is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst specializing in FHIR. The role involves performing healthcare data analysis, ensuring interoperability of clinical data, and collaborating with technical resources to resolve data quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Health care Data Analysis, Data profiling of Raw/source data to derive meaningful insights and document data requirements to support new data source onboarding process
• Determines approaches to interoperability of Clinical/Healthcare data, including mapping of clinical content to data standards to support use case requirements
• Analyze and Validate Data to ensure the appropriate data modeling, vocabulary, terminology, and code-set standard for representing and harmonizing Healthcare data
• Collaborates with technical resources to perform root cause analysis and complete remediation of data quality issues
• Understand and examine healthcare data received from different applications/vendors & build the data modeling/mapping for converting the raw Healthcare data into FHIR format
• Interact with different business units translate their data needs into requirements

Requirements:

• Experience in a Data/IT engineering role in health care domain
• Must be very familiar FHIR API and resources, data mapping between HL7 v2 and FHIR
• Ability to develop source to target maps, perform functional testing of FHIR outputs
• Strong understanding and knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7 V2 messages, HL7 CCDA, HL7 FHIR, and IHE ITI transactions
• Working experience with the following HL7 interfaces/messages: ADT, ORM, ORU, RDE and MDM with good understanding of the principles of asynchronous information exchange interface
• Working in a fluid environment, defining, and owning priorities that adapt to our larger goals. You can bring clarity to ambiguity while remaining open-minded to new information that might change your mind
• Should have strong understanding of healthcare data, including clinical data in both proprietary and industry standard formats
• Understand the dirtiness of clinical data and seek out ways to improve conformance and quality
• Excellent documentation skills, including workflow documentation and diagrams
• 5+ years of experience with FHIR/HL7 platforms & technologies and knowledge of Healthcare Industry standards and requirements
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare industry with proven understanding of data terminology
• 5+ years' experience in Continuity of Care Documents (CCD), Consolidated Clinical Document Architectures (CCDA) and HL7 V2 data handling
• 5+ years' experience in HL7 FHIR v4
• 5+ years of experience in Interoperability and FHIR concepts
• Strong understanding of Data formats and other Healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, SNOMED, CPT, LOINC)
• Intermediate level experience in SQL queries
• Demonstrated advanced analytical and reporting skills
