Sales Application Engineer

Procom is a company that specializes in high-voltage power components, and they are seeking a Sales Application Engineer to support sales and commercial teams with technical expertise and customer-facing consultation. The role involves translating customer requirements into technical solutions and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and feasibility.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical subject-matter expert for power components (e.g., bushings, transformer components)
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer inquiries and RFQs
• Translate customer technical requirements into feasible product and application solutions
• Prepare and review:
• Technical proposals
• Specifications
• Data sheets
• Compliance and standards documentation
• Support customer meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
• Provide pre-sales technical support throughout the quotation and bid process
• Assist with post-sales technical clarification as needed
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure technical feasibility and compliance
• Maintain awareness of applicable industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in technical sales, application engineering, or product engineering
• Direct experience with bushings or transformer component design
• Strong understanding of high-voltage equipment, power components, or transformer systems
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical and customer-facing audiences
• Experience supporting RFQs, proposals, or customer-facing technical documentation
• Experience within power transmission, utilities, or grid infrastructure
• Experience working in OEM or manufacturing environments
• Exposure to global customers and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of IEC / IEEE / ANSI standards
