The Senior Corrosion Engineer will perform and review cathodic protection assessments, implement quality control across projects, and manage technical aspects to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction, control, and supervision of engineering and/or surveying work to ensure that the work product has been critically examined and evaluated for compliance
- Direct the project, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of projects to the client’s satisfaction and in compliance with scope of work and quality and professional standards
- Ensure that projects are completed in a cost-efficient manner with adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide the client with the best results at the lowest practical cost
- Plan and schedule projects ensuring appropriate levels of staffing, contractors, and other necessary resources. Ensure effective use of human and other resources throughout the project
- Assist the PM in estimating and tracking project costs, schedules, and deliverables, and reporting on behalf of the PM. Maintain regular and effective two-way communication (verbal and written) with the PM and client, as necessary
- Mentor more junior team members, providing guidance and opportunities to build on their existing base of experience and improve their breadth of knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET)-accredited program
- Minimum of 6 years of related work experience
- Valid Driver's License
- NACE CP-3 or CP-4 Certification
- Proficiency in performing Close Interval Surveys on pipelines and External Corrosion Direct Assessment surveys on buried CP protected pipelines
- Ability to handle field survey equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot cathodic protection systems and make minor repairs
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work

- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present cathodic protection and engineering concepts, designs, and data
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Ability to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® software

- Ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced work environment
- A P.E. is preferred but not required
- CP-4 Certification or ability to gain accreditation within 6 months preferred
