In this role, the Senior Business Analyst will partner with clients to elicit and document business requirements for software development projects, facilitate workshops, and serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with clients to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements for software development projects
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions to clarify needs and define project scope
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications
- Lead and guide project teams on requirements documentation, standards, and best practices
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and proactively recommend solutions
- Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Support UAT planning, execution, and validation as needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects
- Strong experience gathering requirements directly from clients in a consulting or client-facing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in defining and documenting clear, actionable requirements
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining product backlogs
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams (developers, QA, architects)
- Prior consulting experience (internal or external client engagements)
- Experience working across multiple industries or business domains
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management platforms
