Engineer

Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking an Engineer for a contract position with a client in Troy, MI. The role involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts, conducting API testing, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other testing frameworks
• Conduct API testing to validate performance, reliability, and security of backend services
• Execute both automated and manual test cases, documenting outcomes and reporting defects
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely defect resolution
• Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
• Contribute to test planning, requirement analysis, and ongoing improvement of testing strategies

Requirements:

• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in software testing and automation as defined in the job description
• Candidate must have strong expertise in Playwright automation and API testing frameworks
• Candidate must have solid understanding of CI/CD tools along with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
