About this role
NextGen Coding Company is hiring an AI Implementation Engineer to work directly with a founder on deploying AI-driven automation across various operations and customer-facing tools. The role requires independent execution and strong API ownership to convert high-level directions into production-grade AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy AI agents for operational reporting and auditing
- Automate repetitive internal processes using LLMs and APIs
- Integrate Slack, CRM, and database-driven reporting workflows
- Build exception detection and anomaly identification systems
- Build dynamic landing pages with AI-driven personalization
- Implement automated A/B testing and optimization workflows
- Create structured AI content generation pipelines
- Deploy performance monitoring and analytics automation
- Pull data from CRM, databases, and structured exports
- Generate structured weekly AI summaries
- Build lightweight internal dashboards
- Maintain clean data validation and reporting integrity
- Develop client-facing AI assistants
- Implement structured intake and workflow automation
- Build simple production-ready AI tools with backend ownership
Requirements:
- USA-based candidates only
- Four-year U.S. bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution
- No undergraduate education completed outside the United States
- No international master's-only education profiles
- Must be eligible to work as a U.S. 1099 contractor
- Must submit W-9 upon hire
- Strong, hands-on experience with Python
- Strong, hands-on experience with OpenAI / Anthropic / Azure OpenAI APIs
- Strong, hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend framework
- Strong, hands-on experience with API integrations (HubSpot, Slack, Stripe, etc.)
- Strong, hands-on experience with LangChain, Assistants API, or agent frameworks
- Strong, hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Strong, hands-on experience with Node.js
- Strong, hands-on experience with React
- Strong, hands-on experience with Next.js
- Strong, hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.)
- Backend ownership experience is mandatory
- Applicants must complete a technical exercise
- Experience in compliance, regulated, or operational systems preferred
