- Understanding the scientific and engineering principles of modeling contaminant fate and transport through sediment caps in subaqueous systems. Experience with CapSim is preferred
- Experience using CAD to develop drawings for contaminated sediment dredging and/or soil excavation projects, including an ability to follow direction from a senior engineer with minimal continual oversight
- Experience performing slope stability modeling
- Experience with the development of field sampling programs and subsequent data analyses to support the development of conceptual site models, mass balances, and data-based understanding of fate and transport processes. This would include experience with interpreting results from sediment cores, bathymetric surveys, etc
- Experience with numerical and/or desktop model development, calibration, and application
- Experience evaluating the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and assisting in the development of sediment remediation designs for large contaminated sediment sites involving multiple stakeholders
