The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for translating conceptual designs into functional designs, supporting the sales stage of projects, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards during the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Electrical Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design
- Liaise with CAD designer, coordinating and leading activity in order to ensure that the design packages are produced to the required timescales and standards of quality
- Provide support to the Project Manager during the installation commissioning and testing phase of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation
- Participate, and where appropriate lead, HAZOP and risk assessment studies
- Liaise as necessary with existing and potential customers and their representatives
- Ensure that there is full adherence to Health, Safety, CDM, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures in all work undertaken
Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 7 years experience of working in an associated industry with a background in power generation (between 1-25MW) or Renewable Natural Gas
- Good IT Skills -MS Office
- Professional registration
- Experience in CHP
- Pressure/temperature/flow drop calculations
- Heat Transfer
- Absorption Chiller sizing
- Creating P&ID's
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Project
- AutoCAD drafting package
