Solvd, Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. They are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and implement AWS cloud solutions, working directly with enterprise clients to architect scalable and secure cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure AWS architectures based on client requirements
- Assess current-state environments and propose effective cloud migration strategies
- Build patterns and frameworks to support repeatable, high-quality delivery
- Lead implementation of AWS services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, databases, and serverless
- Troubleshoot issues during delivery and guide teams in operational best practices
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security across deployed solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solution designs
- Act as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, modernization options, and industry trends
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor team members and contribute to internal learning initiatives
- Develop documentation, reusable assets, templates, and best practices for future projects
- Promote continuous improvement within Solvd’s Cloud Engineering practice
Requirements:
- 5 or more years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience across AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation
- AWS professional certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional
- Experience with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform or scripting with Python
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements including HIPAA or GDPR
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both business and technical stakeholders
