Engineering Manager

Alvys is an early-stage company transforming the US freight industry. As an Engineering Manager focusing on ML and AI, you will lead a talented team to integrate advanced AI and ML solutions into their SaaS platform, optimizing freight transportation logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a talent-dense, US-based team tasked with automating workflows across the SaaS platform
• Guide the technical direction of AI initiatives
• Mentor a team of engineers
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver innovative solutions that optimize freight transportation logistics

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focusing on machine learning, AI, and data science
• Proven track record in developing and deploying ML models and AI solutions at scale
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java, with strong knowledge of ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and deploying AI/ML solutions in a cloud-native environment
• Experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on AI and ML project execution
• Strong understanding of data engineering and the ability to work with large-scale data processing and analysis
• Familiarity with Azure ML services, MLOps, and CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment
• Experience in the logistics or transportation industry, providing insight into industry-specific challenges and opportunities for AI applications
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver impactful AI solutions
