Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Product Manager for Clinical Applications who will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the strategy and roadmap for clinical application products. This role involves partnering with various leaders to prioritize initiatives, guide product development, and ensure alignment with business goals and clinical workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with stakeholder goals and delivers excellent continuity of care for patients. Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements
- Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders, customers, and vendor partners to shape the product strategy while surfacing and prioritizing needs. Anticipates and is proactive towards meeting customer needs
- Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements based on user feedback, market trends, and business objectives
- Application and Infrastructure Collaboration: Work closely with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and services support leadership to better understand capabilities and requirements to ensure successful product development and launch. Works within IS to present consistent messaging to the customer. Participates in strategic planning and department coordination
- Product Demonstration: Create and maintain viable product demonstration content in collaboration with application teams to provide meaningful content to operational partners
- Provides technical advice to operational leadership when implementing new workflows or applications
- Balances needs for support, maintenance, and administrative tasks with projects
- Monitors group portfolio of projects; works with the project teams to identify and resolve risks and issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health care or related fields
- An Associate's Degree and nine to ten (9-10) years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Six years of overall experience leading to increasing responsibilities
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows in a healthcare setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex issues
- Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio)
- Epic Community Connect customer service or application support experience
- Epic certification in a core outpatient application (Prelude, Cadence, Ambulatory, or Resolute Professional Billing)
- Epic certification in additional applications (Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Referrals, MyChart)
