Virtualitics is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to architect, secure, and automate the deployment of their AI-driven decision intelligence platform across DoD and enterprise environments. The role involves deploying and supporting the platform, designing secure infrastructure, and implementing security controls in various environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and support Virtualitics’ platform within DoD and commercial customer environments
- Design, build, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Implement and enforce security controls across CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
- Mitigate container and dependency vulnerabilities using automated scanning and remediation workflows
- Build and improve automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and compliance
- Support ATO processes and ongoing compliance efforts
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
- Collaborate with Platform Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and QA to ensure secure, scalable deployment architectures
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or cloud security engineering
- AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, ECR, EKS, RDS, Route 53/DNS, IAM, SSO, Bedrock, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager)
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Kubernetes (BAC, network policies, and pod security standards)
- Designing and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines that scan code, build and sign hardened container images, generate SBOMs, publish to secure registries, and automate deployment into Kubernetes environments
- Container hardening and secure registries (e.g., Iron Bank, Chainguard)
- Experience deploying containerized workloads into DoD environments (Platform One, Cloud One, Palantir FedStart, etc.)
- NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC 2.0 controls
- MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration
