Lockheed Martin is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a Product Owner for Oracle EPM applications. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the applications meet business needs and oversee product build and requirements documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure that the Oracle EPM Forward Pricing (FPRP) and Indirect Budget (IB) applications meet business needs
- Oversee product build, backlog, and requirements documentation
- Work with Lockheed Martin IT business analysts and developers, as well as professional services to accomplish the product team objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners
- Communicate with stakeholders and product management team to understand their needs
- Work with other Product Owners to ensure smooth handoff between teams and understanding of cross-team impacts
- Provide clarity of scope and oversight to a team of analysts and developers to ensure products will satisfy users’ needs
- Ensure functionality and products produced by your team are high quality and reliable
- Prioritize the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and mission
- Ensure the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what will be worked next
- Ensure the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed
- Optimize the value of the work the Development Team performs
- Engage with leadership to report status and escalate risks/issues to drive to a quick resolution
- Guide the maintenance of our Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation & Close (FCC) and Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS) applications
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on Oracle EPM applications
- Understanding of IT principles, including software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and IT service management
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to think critically
- US Citizenship required for this role
- Experience with cloud-based EPM solutions, including Oracle EPM Cloud, specifically with FCC and/or TRCS
- Certification in Oracle EPM products or related technologies
- Experience with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience working in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and priorities
