Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking a Technical Project Engineer to manage high visibility projects for their Risk Decision Group, focusing on project performance and coordination across various teams.
Responsibilities:
- The Project Engineer will be responsible for the performance of relatively small projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Will direct and supervise all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities and manage the direction of a project through the design, development, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects
- Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, business support teams, technical teams, and senior leadership
- Coordinates efforts within the project team to ensure project expectations are met and communicated
- Manages multiple projects at a time
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
- Gathers functional and technical requirements utilizing standard project management and/or business analysis methodologies
- Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for all project deliverables
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis, to include areas of risk and key decisions
- Provides timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
- Specify systems requirements and ensure that completed systems meet requirements
- Participates in the PMO's established change management practice by leading change requests and bugs from initiation to review by the Change Control Board
- Possesses good trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- Works under general direction and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- A good team player with ability to provide after-hours support
Requirements:
- 2 year's experience with BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA, 6 years no degree
- US Citizenship
- Must hold active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication or Top Secret eligible clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams Environment
- Experience with Visio
- Experience with process flow mapping
- Experience working within and the analysis of federal investigative standards and operational workflows
- PMP Certification
- Scrum Master Certification
- Understanding of agile methodology
- Understanding of software development lifecycles
