The Senior Business Systems Analyst provides leadership in the development, optimization, and support of clinical applications, ensuring reliable systems operations and effective communication of impacts on system processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert and central resource for the assigned application domain
- Lead initiatives for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT application systems
- Ensure project assignments and operational tasks are effectively prioritized, tested, and executed
- Partner with software vendors to maintain stable, functional, and forward-looking application solutions
- Escalate issues appropriately and communicate impacts on system processes to leadership
- Support the onboarding and orientation of new analysts
- Assist in coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and fostering strong team relations
- Apply innovative thinking and advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve system and workflow issues
- Communicate issues clearly and effectively to leadership
- Fully support and utilize the organization's IT project management methodology
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) (preferably Clinisys/Sunquest, including system setup, support, and maintenance)
- 7+ years of experience with laboratory application workflows and device integrations
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare information systems technologies, processes, and application software
- Deep understanding of lab operations, requirements, and workflows to ensure optimal system configuration and usage
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high accountability in fast-paced or stressful environments
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and leadership abilities
- Proven capability to collaborate with diverse teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and guide customers through challenging initiatives
