The Senior Healthcare EDI X12 Business Analyst will utilize their expertise in EDI and healthcare to analyze business needs, translate them into system requirements, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- The EDIaaS Business Analyst performs complex analyses of business goals, objectives and needs of the general business environment to align information technology solutions with business initiatives for multiple, complex accounts. Serves as a subject matter expert and the liaison between technical personnel and non-technical personnel
- Is a proxy for the customer by understanding the needs and requirements of each of the business services areas
- Translates business needs into system/application requirements and project components to help determine solution to business problems
- Keep pace with Medicaid, CMS, CAQH etc. rules and guidance
- Produces functional requirements for EDI as a Service
- Proactively identifies and manages changes to requirements and identify risks
- Effectively manages client’s expectations
- Applies industry and information technology expertise to support proposals, feasibility studies, implementations and new business development
- Enables traceability from requirements to design and test case documentation
- Be considered the subject matter expert for the customer
- Develop deliverables for client approval
- Lead or participate in test script peer reviews to ensure that the scripts cover all needed scenarios and will result in a thorough test of the change
- Perform testing for change including the development and execution of scripts, collection and documentation of Work Products, and customer walkthroughs as requested
- Collects and documents requirements for projects in a Business Requirements Document (BRD) or Work Request Document (WRD)
- Facilitates meetings with clients to validate requirements and identify gaps in proposed solutions
- Monitors changes required to remain compliant with federal regulations and standards
- Translates business Requirements into system/application Test scripts
- Upholds the quality of core application by monitoring the system for overall data quality, efficiency, and data integrity
- Proactively identifies defects found in the application and manages them to closure which includes the re-testing of defects
Requirements:
- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert
- EDI - X12 HIPAA knowledgeable and experienced Business Analyst
- Resource should have 837 Claims experience
- SME in X12 HIPAA transaction code sets; Keep pace with Medicaid, CMS, CAQH etc. rules and guidance
- Knowledgeable of EDI – X12 HIPAA transactions and business process flows that involve EDI, required
- Proactively identify and Excellent in surfacing, capturing, and testing of requirements and changes from inception through production deployment, required
- Strong experience and willingness to accurately document throughout the full life cycle of the change, defect, and implementation project, including user story creation, test strategy, testing, test results, required
- Willingly able to present the change to leadership along with impact assessment, required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (U.S.A.) MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (required)
