About this role
Soho Square Solutions is seeking a Data Center Project Manager in the Fintech domain. The Project Manager will manage the scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the Technology division, focusing on data center exit, infrastructure consolidation, and AWS migration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the Technology division
- Partner directly with application teams, infrastructure, security architecture, and Cloud providers to plan and deliver workstreams required to enable data center exiting and consolidation
- Conduct application discovery and dependency mapping, migration and modernization planning, refactoring coordination, risk remediation, and sequencing of technical and business cutovers
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area of study from an accredited college or university with applicable project management experience
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technology projects, with demonstrated experience in infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or data center exit initiatives
- Proven experience coordinating on-prem to cloud (AWS preferred) application migrations or refactoring efforts, including multiple concurrent workstreams
- Ability or Proven IT delivery background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all program/project phases plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, and implement
- Strong understanding of legacy infrastructure environments and the challenges associated with modernization, technical debt, and application dependencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and handle interruptions
- Not afraid to get involved in complex issues to drive problem solving, and rapidly get to solutions
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to 'manage upward'; able to think on your feet and exercise good judgment and decision making. Must pay attention to details
- PMP or Project Management certification is a plus
- Financial Services background is a plus
