Arxada is a global leader in innovative solutions that protect our world, and they are seeking a Global Product Manager for their Material Protection business. This role involves shaping product strategy, managing pricing, and collaborating with various functions to drive sustainable growth and improve profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product portfolio management for the Material Protection business, developing and executing strategies that enable sustainable growth and improved profitability
- Shape and manage pricing strategy and margin optimization by leveraging cross‑functional insights, market intelligence, and segmentation to guide data-driven decisions
- Partner with Operations to define long-term asset strategies, including make‑versus‑buy decisions and investment justifications to support new product introductions and business expansion
- Drive portfolio improvement initiatives such as SKU rationalization, asset optimization, inventory alignment, and risk reduction to strengthen operational effectiveness and performance
- Collaborate with Marketing to build product roadmaps informed by competitor analysis, industry trends, customer insights, and value chain economics
- Monitor product performance, identifying opportunities for value engineering, price improvement, and recovery of lost sales in partnership with Sales and Commercial Operations
- Coordinate commercialization activities and lead cross-functional alignment to ensure successful launches of new or revised products
- Remove bottlenecks and lead problem‑solving efforts to enable seamless product availability and performance across regions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree (Master's in Engineering or Business) preferred but not required
- 5–10 years of experience in product management within the chemical industry (B2B) or experience in chemical process engineering
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate insights into clear recommendations and strategic actions
- Proven ability to collaborate across global, cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in specialty chemical manufacturing processes and a solid understanding of end‑to‑end value chain dynamics
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and a strong grasp of financial and commercial fundamentals; pricing software experience is a plus
