Data Engineer Intern

Cisive is a company dedicated to making talent acquisition effortless through technology-first solutions. They are seeking a Data Engineer Intern to collaborate with their Data and AI team, focusing on building data infrastructure and developing skills in modern data platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Data and AI team to design and build data infrastructure, including ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory
• Develop and maintain data models, cloud data warehouses, and data lakes using Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database
• Write and optimize T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions for data transformation and integration
• Support data quality, governance, and security initiatives
• Participate in the full lifecycle of data projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring

Requirements:

• Junior or Senior in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Proficiency in modern coding practices, including Visual Studio Code, Git, and test frameworks (unit testing, regression testing, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, and/or other Microsoft Azure data services
• Experience designing and implementing star schema data models
• Experience with Databricks and Python
