People Integra is a company under the Business Integra Group, and they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in rotor finite element analysis. The role involves executing gas turbine rotor analyses and supporting various engineering tasks while collaborating with team members.
Responsibilities:
- Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys
- Perform typical post processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, summarize bolted joint behavior, strength evaluations, etc
- Pull CAD models from PLM
- Work CAD models in Siemens NX
- Summarize and document analytical results
- Support automation of typical tasks with Python as needed
- Support defect evaluation through analysis
- Present on routine project status meetings
- Strong communication skills
- Highly collaborative and works well in team environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong communication skills
