BCD Meetings & Events is a leading meetings and events agency that focuses on creating connections for their clients. They are seeking a Business Analyst who will work directly with clients to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights to enhance program efficiency and reduce costs.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret and tell a story from client financial, operational and performance data to provide fact-based recommendations to drive SMM program enhancements, reduce costs, streamline process and increase savings
- Test the systems of record for consistency and properly escalate issues for a quick resolution; ensure that all proper parties are informed of issues; Report on inconsistencies
- Ensure accurate and appropriate reporting is implemented to support SLA (Service Level Agreement) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting
- Benchmark data against industry, regional, and global standards to assist in developing internal and account roadmaps
- Responsible for quality control of meeting data and data integrity
- Work on a variety of data, analytic and visualization projects
- Liaise and interact with the client directly; compile and contribute to quarterly data for quarterly reviews, transform reporting as client needs change, and use reports to assist client procurement department in annual negotiations
- Constantly transform reporting as client needs change; strive for consistency, accuracy, and cleanliness
- Drive data governance efforts at the account and enterprise level. Understand the data and how to efficiently transform it into useful scheduled reports for internal team and the client
- Assist leadership team with on-demand reporting requests and analytical needs

- Complex pivot tables/formulas in Microsoft Excel
- Running SQL queries

- PowerBI (a plus)
- Learning and operating in other multi-software applications
- Presenting to the client and internal team
- Data visualization and summary
- A minimum of 3 years' analytics experience
- Knowledge of the meetings industry
- Experience with Cvent meeting technology
- Prior meeting planning/purchasing experience
