Business Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst - Investment Management Technology role involves providing expert analysis and guidance on the BlackRock Aladdin Accounting Platform, leading complex projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization’s investment management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive analysis of business processes, procedures, data, and rules to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
• Act as a subject matter expert on the BlackRock Aladdin platform, providing guidance on system configuration, integration, and best practices
• Lead the design, development, and testing of complex applications and system integration processes supporting the investment management unit
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic goals
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and testers to optimize solution quality and adherence to project timelines
• Identify and resolve data-centric architecture issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency across multiple sources and platforms
• Support strategic initiatives by providing insights into investment data, asset management, and system capabilities across various asset classes
• Mentor junior analysts and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, facilitating informed decision-making
• Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiencies beyond immediate project scope to enhance overall operational effectiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of eight years of experience designing and implementing complex technological solutions
• At least five years of investment data expertise
• Solid understanding of systems and data management across various asset classes, including derivatives
• Experience with BlackRock Aladdin ABOR/IBOR systems for at least three years
• Extensive knowledge of investment management systems spanning front, middle, and back-office functions
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, SQL/Oracle query tools, and Excel
