Curtiss-Wright Corporation is a leader in delivering superior products and services for the defense and aerospace industries. They are seeking a Senior PWB Design Engineer to develop and release complex printed wiring boards in an R&D environment, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to execute full PCB designs.
Responsibilities:
- Generate PCB CAD layout design data to meet product requirements
- Aid checking completed design layouts and drawings to certify standards, procedures, specifications, manufacturability and accuracy of physical dimensions
- Conduct Comprehensive design reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams through design completion, to confirm the costs and requirements
- Plan and execute PCB design Tasks in accordance to project schedules
- Participate in PCB Product Failure analysis and provide insite and/or recommendations to engineering teams
- Release completed designs into CW Document Control System (Agile). Assure Released Documents conform to standards
Requirements:
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 Years experience, 10+ years preferred, routing mixed signal, high-speed digital (100 – 400 GHz), analog and low power high current designs in high reliability environments
- Must Have extensive knowledge experience designing high-density interconnect (HDI), including dense double-sided PCBs with 26+ layer/Mult lamination rigid Blind/Buried Via with uVia Structures
- Solid Command Experience using Siemens Expedition (PCB) as well as Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) tools
- Able to generate parts for the PCB environment and update/ maintain libraries, control integration to SCH files
- Able to generate Fabrication drawings per ASME and CW standards
- Understanding of IPC-600, 610 6012 and 7351 industry standards
- Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and information to peer teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadline in high pressure environment, ability to drive to result and hold self-accountable to continuously improve skills
- Self-starter with ability to work though ambiguity and evolving project requirements
- Ability to lead and mentor others creating/architecting complex designs to completion while in a schedule-teams based project
