Oracle is a global leader in technology, seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) - Application Design to lead the lifecycle management of physical access control and Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM) applications. The role involves partnering with various stakeholders to ensure robust and compliant security solutions while driving innovation and reducing downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end lifecycle management for physical access control and PIAM solutions, including requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, upgrade, and retirement of legacy systems
- Engineer and implement high-availability architectures to ensure critical security systems maximize uptime and reduce operational risk
- Evaluate and recommend solutions, balancing cost, return on investment, scalability, and compliance requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation and technical standards required for system audits and ongoing regulatory/compliance processes (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI)
- Drive continual improvement and future roadmap planning for application security in partnership with key stakeholders and system end-users
- Develop and maintain access control and identity management systems, product roadmaps, prioritizing enhancements that improve scalability, end user requirements, security, investigative capabilities, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and deliver operational training and best-practice documentation for internal administrative teams, runbook management teams, internal customers, and external integrators
- Ensure operational teams have the tools and knowledge necessary for timely support response, system troubleshooting, and escalation
- Lead the generation, review, and publication of system documentation to support internal and external audits of physical access and PIAM applications
- Ensure all application design and implementation complies with corporate security, privacy, IT, and legal requirements
- Manage the delivery of enterprise security application projects and upgrades, coordinating cross-team execution across global sites
- Serve as an escalation point for technical incidents and post-incident reviews; provide technical and operational direction to mitigate recurrences
- Coordinate vendor interactions, pilot new solutions, and validate fit-for-purpose in Oracle’s environment through proofs of concept and technical due diligence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of technical project or program management experience in physical security, security applications, or IT infrastructure, with direct experience managing physical access control or PIAM solutions at scale
- Expert knowledge of physical access control and PIAM industry standards, application deployment, integration, and audit requirements
- Experience with high-availability infrastructure and security system design
- Strong documentation, technical writing, and process improvement skills
- Demonstrated success in cost evaluation and ROI analysis for technology investments
- Advanced understanding of privacy regulations, audit, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001/NIST, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present to and influence technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative, self-starter mindset with proven ability to lead multi-functional and cross-regional teams
- Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, CPP, PSP, PIAM- or PACS-specific certs)
- Experience implementing or supporting physical security in cloud/hyperscale data center environments at scale
- Exposure to automation, data analytics/reporting, and scripting for system integration or administration
- Knowledge of assurance, data retention, and compliance standards including Common Criteria & FIPS
