Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform, and they are seeking a strategic, data-driven Sr. Director of Growth to lead customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle engagement for the Fanatics Credit Card. This role will define the growth strategy, oversee cross-functional execution, and enhance cardholder value and loyalty.
Responsibilities:
- Define and articulate the long-term growth strategy for the Fanatics Credit Card, aligning with brand and enterprise objectives
- Build actionable growth roadmaps and identify new opportunities across channels, partnerships, product, and audience segments
- Bring creative, first-principles thinking to unlock breakthrough ideas and solve complex growth challenges
- Stay ahead of emerging marketing trends (AI, platform shifts, creator economy, attribution advances) and proactively bring modern strategies to the business
- Champion a test-and-learn culture across paid, owned, and emerging channels
- Lead full-funnel acquisition across paid media (search, social, programmatic, affiliate) and high-impact surfaces across the Fanatics ecosystem
- Own audience strategy, channel mix, budgets and optimization to drive efficient, high-quality acquisition
- Build and maintain an experimentation framework to improve CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, and payback
- Partner with analytics on attribution, forecasting, and investment insights
- Develop a best-in-class lifecycle strategy that increases activation, usage, loyalty, and long-term retention
- Own onboarding and early engagement programs that drive first purchase and FanCash behaviors
- Build segmented, personalized journeys that integrate rewards, seasonal moments, and Fanatics ecosystem benefits
- Identify and scale cross-sell opportunities across commerce, betting, collectibles, and events
- Use insights and experimentation to optimize engagement and reduce drop-off across the lifecycle
- Partner closely with product, analytics, brand, loyalty, and commerce teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end cardholder experience
- Set KPIs, growth roadmaps, and executive reporting frameworks
- Ensure compliance with legal, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Manage agencies and external partners to execute the growth strategy
Requirements:
- 10–12+ years in growth marketing, performance, lifecycle/CRM, or related roles
- Strategic, creative thinker with deep expertise across paid media, experimentation, and funnel optimization
- Proven lifecycle marketing experience across onboarding, retention, loyalty, and cross-sell
- Highly analytical, strong communicator, and skilled at influencing senior stakeholders
- Passion for sports and Fanatics' mission
- Experience in credit card, fintech, e-commerce, or loyalty-driven businesses a plus
