About this role
My3Tech is seeking a senior DevOps and Data Platform Engineer with extensive experience in designing and optimizing enterprise data environments. The role involves hands-on expertise in DevOps practices, particularly with AWS and Databricks, as well as responsibilities in mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the reliability and performance of data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, administering, and optimizing enterprise data and analytics environments
- Supporting AWS and Databricks platforms in production environments
- Proven administration experience with Cognos and Tableau
- Solid Windows and Linux system administration skills
- Demonstrates practical knowledge of DBT, high-availability architectures, clustered systems, and load-balanced environments
- Mentoring junior engineers while contributing to technical leadership
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive experience designing, administering, and optimizing enterprise data and analytics environments
- Deep hands-on expertise in DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform
- Strong experience supporting AWS and Databricks platforms in production environments
- Proven administration experience with Cognos
- Solid Windows and Linux system administration skills
- Practical knowledge of DBT
- Experience with high-availability architectures, clustered systems, and load-balanced environments
- Ability to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, mission-critical environments
- 3–10 years of general DevOps engineering experience
- 2-4 years of experience administering Cognos environments
- 2–4 years of Tableau administration experience
- 2-4 years of Windows and Linux system administration experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with AWS and Databricks
- 2–4 years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically AWS CDK and Terraform
- 2–3 years of experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)
- Demonstrated experience supporting clustered applications, high-availability architectures, and load-balanced environments
- Experience supporting higher education or large enterprise data platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise identity management, security frameworks, and compliance standards
- Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to junior engineers
