Apprentice Software Engineer (NE)

VSP Vision is a company focused on providing vision care solutions, and they are seeking an Apprentice Software Engineer to assist in the development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions. The role involves partnering in coding, maintenance, and designing solutions to address business problems while gaining an understanding of the business functions supported by the systems.

Responsibilities:

• Partner in the coding/development/maintenance, testing and implementation of systems
• Partner in the design of solutions to solve business problems while learning the business functions supported by the system

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; in lieu of degree 4 years functional experience
• Programming experience in one or more current programming languages
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for simple problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
