They are seeking a Business Analyst to provide technical leadership in the development and support of engineering business systems, ensuring that applications and processes meet the needs of the engineering business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in the development and support of engineering business systems
- Maintain and support the applications, servers and clients surrounding Computer Aided Engineering, Computer Aided Design and Product Lifecycle Management tools
- Works with Engineering business to define needs for enhancements
- Manages enhancement delivery, including working with stakeholders and needed IT personnel to document, gain approval, and oversee delivery
- Communicates clearly with Business stakeholders and leaders as needed
- Assists with vendor management including the processing of contracts, maintenance renewals, purchases and evaluations
- Assists in analyzing business needs and creates software solutions that meet those needs
- Assists in creating flow charts, business process management (BPM) workflows, and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysis
- Assists in preparing design documentation and ensuring that functional and technical documentation meets requirements
- Supports the designs, and documents software/solution according to SBD-IT systems standards, policies and procedures
- Provides technical assistance where needed to ensure timely resolution of incidents or issues
- Assists in tasks to ensure execution plan is on track and reports any major deviations in budget or timeline
- Helps to effectively plans and integrates new products with the existing IT landscape
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving contentious issues escalated during implementation
- Assists in building of knowledge databases for technology, solutions and domain areas
- Supports the work with of architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management and other relevant stakeholders to enable a smooth deployment
- Continuously works on capturing and transferring tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems
- Works with outside partners to ensure SBD requirements are met
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience, or Graduate degree and 3+ years relevant experience
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development)
- ITFS Project Methodology knowledge
- Engineering Application domain knowledge including PLM, CAD, and CAE
- Integration Technologies
- Infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies
- Possess technical skills specific to the systems or applications being supported
- Thorough familiarity with the configuration and setup of supported applications
