KPMG US is seeking a contractor to provide services in IT Systems Engineering. The role involves designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines while managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalable and reliable systems across environments.
Responsibilities:
- The Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- This role focuses on infrastructure provisioning, platform reliability, automation, and secure deployment of cloud native workloads
- The engineer will work closely with application, data, and security teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and observable platforms across environments
- Terraform build experience. Google Cloud Platform. Infrastructure as Code. Google cloud build
- Key responsibilities include CI/CD pipeline creation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GKE cluster operations, and managing core GCP services such as Pub/Sub, API Gateway, logging, and monitoring
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and systems
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving any IT-related issues in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and security
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and system security
- Proficient in implementing and managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their associated services
