DoorDash is a technology and logistics company focused on empowering local economies. The Sales Engineer will assist the sales team in addressing technical questions and customizing product solutions for restaurant customers, driving sales and influencing product development based on merchant feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales — assisting in qualifying and closing deals from a technical standpoint, collaborating with sales and development partners
- Become a subject matter expert - on the DoorDash Advertising product suite including campaign performance, upsell opportunities and ROAS (return on ad spend)
- Create and deliver customized performance reviews, product demos and proof of concepts - Support pre- and post product adoption analysis: forecast expected impact, run experiments/tests, analyze results, and iterate
- Influence the product roadmap - by aggregating merchant feedback calls that will help determine the direction of the roadmap
Requirements:
- You have a minimum 4 years of sales engineering, sales consultant, value engineer, pre-sales solution consulting or related roles experience
- You love to learn about new technology and features and can simply explain how complex systems work
- You are resourceful in finding answers to non-standard questions by smartly searching available resources and running your own tests and deductions
- You have experience pulling complex data-sets, presenting results to customers in a digestible format and building/editing dashboards to showcase data
- You are able to problem solve effectively and efficiently matching appropriate solutions for each merchant scenario
- You seamlessly collaborate with sales team members and understand how to assist and accelerate the sales process
- Experience writing SQL queries involving one or more joins for data retrieval and analysis. DoorDash has abundant data that can be very helpful to pull insights relevant to selling and troubleshoot issues
- Previous experience with Ad-Tech, Advertising Products or Models including campaign metrics; value analyses and financial metrics (e.g., CPA, incremental sales lift, lifetime value uplift, return on ad spend) for different ad products/features
