Netwrix Corporation is dedicated to revolutionizing data security by providing unparalleled visibility and control. The Demo Platform Engineering Lead is responsible for owning the CloudLAB platform, ensuring its reliability and security while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver effective demo experiences and training workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Own the CloudLAB platform vision, reference architecture, standards, and lifecycle (build, maintain, retire)
- Define and manage the CloudLAB roadmap and backlog, aligning priorities across Sales/SE, Enablement, Product, Engineering, Support, ProServ, Marketing, and Channel stakeholders
- Maintain a scalable model that supports a broad range of use cases, including demos, POVs, internal training, product quality/testing, customer zero, and external analyst/partner evaluations
- Run a predictable operating rhythm with weekly build/strategy sessions and a monthly release cycle (scope, build, validate, publish, communicate)
- Maintain release documentation: release notes, known issues, rollback plans, version compatibility, and standard operating procedures
- Establish environment health checks, incident response patterns, and continuous improvement for uptime and performance
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs using PowerShell/Python, including OAuth2/service principals, pagination, rate limits, JSON payloads, and error handling to automate provisioning and lifecycle workflows
- Investigate and integrate open-source tools and supporting services that improve demo realism, speed, and reliability (e.g., automation helpers, telemetry/health signals, reset mechanisms)
- Manage supporting systems and integrations needed for realistic environments (e.g., identity, Windows services, data sources, and required platform dependencies)
- Package Netwrix solutions into repeatable CloudLAB blueprints, curated demo paths, and POV workflows that are easy for the field to execute
- Maintain reliable sample data, “reset to green” capabilities, and consistent UX so the environment is always customer-ready (and not a science project)
- Partner with Enablement to align labs to training programs, internal readiness, and partner accreditation needs
- Lead the tiger team of cross-functional contributors; run calls, document decisions, track dependencies, and drive to closure
- Serve as the escalation point for CloudLAB issues impacting demos/POVs, training, events, or external evaluations
- Collaborate with Legal/3rd-party assessment workflows where environments are required for reviews and evaluations
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years in a blend of solutions engineering, demo engineering, lab/platform engineering, enablement engineering, or technical program leadership
- Strong Windows, Linux + identity fundamentals (Active Directory/Entra ID concepts, DNS, certificates, authentication flows)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID, including leading or materially contributing to a migration to Azure/Entra, and operating the resulting cloud and identity services (tenant configuration, access controls, integrations, and secure connectivity) for a production-like demo/POV environment
- Practical cloud/platform operations mindset (capacity, cost controls, repeatability, incident handling)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functionally: backlog management, release planning, meeting facilitation, stakeholder alignment, and crisp written communication
- Docker/container fundamentals and maintaining supporting services
- CloudShare (or similar demo/virtual lab platform) experience
- Hands-on PowerShell required; Python a strong plus
- Experience with workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., n8n, Tines) to build API-driven automations and operational runbooks (provisioning, configuration, notifications, and lifecycle management), with strong attention to reliability and security
- Experience designing demo blueprints, sample datasets, and POV playbooks for enterprise security products
- Familiarity with security buyer workflows (identity security, audit/compliance reporting, data security) and demo narrative construction
- Experience utilizing CI/CD and release engineering using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins to automate build/test/release of lab artifacts and using semantic-release (or similar) to standardize versioning and generate changelogs
