TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with deep healthcare technology experience. The role involves leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives across multiple clinical and business service lines, managing projects from initiation through implementation, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage technology projects across one or multiple Lines of Business to support organizational goals
- Oversee projects from initiation through implementation, using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Define project scope, requirements, deliverables, priorities, and deadlines
- Ensure adherence to OhioHealth IS PMO standards, including Risk, Architecture, Compliance, and Service Level Agreements
- Coordinate cross-functional resources, including internal teams, vendors, and consultants
- Manage project budgets (including $500K+ initiatives) and track progress, adjusting resources as needed
- Develop and manage interdependencies between development teams, clinical units, and administrative stakeholders
- Produce detailed project status updates and executive-level reporting
- Act as the primary communicator across clinical, technical, and administrative teams
- Gather requirements, interpret needs, and translate them into actionable deliverables
- Navigate ambiguity, proactively escalate risks, and ensure alignment on decision-making
- Deliver clear presentations and documentation for leadership, PMO, and cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with leadership and enterprise teams to deliver complex programs
- Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders and business units
- Mentor and coach junior PMO staff and team members
Requirements:
- 6+ years of IT Project Management experience
- Project Management Certification, PMP
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 4+ years specifically in Healthcare IT
- Proven leadership of large-scale, $500K+ cross-hospital initiatives
- Deep knowledge of major EHRs: Epic, Cerner, Meditech
- Understanding of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and data governance
- Experience with risk management, incident response, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, and Waterfall in regulated healthcare environments
- Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead digital transformation and change-management initiatives
- Ability to synthesize and present complex information to board-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across matrixed teams
