CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG), a AAA insurer, is one of the leading personal lines property and casualty insurance groups in the United States. The Senior State Product Manager will drive profitable growth and stability across multiple states while leading cross-functional teams and managing the Personal Lines P&L for a defined region.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead territory, including steering a portfolio, aligning teams, and making decisions that impact markets (this includes partnering cross functionally to manage the levers that impact business results ex pricing, underwriting, and distribution strategy)
- Lead a team of professionals that's empowered and accountable for anticipating needs and providing accurate and timely information
- Drive strategy and advocate for state-specific needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of compliance and CSAA and Club objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve personal lines budgets and serve membership needs
- Develop budget and create strategies to achieve it, demonstrating strong business knowledge and understanding
- Be the voice of results and use data to inspire others to take action in support of profitable growth
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key partners including internal teams, distribution partners, and regulatory bodies. This includes establishing credibility, exerting influence, and using data to inspire action
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver competitive products and launch new ones, playing a key role in product lifecycle strategy
- Support mutually beneficial, productive distribution partner relationships, including a productive product feedback loop
- Proactively build relationships with DOIs to ensure successful product filings
- Understand rate changes, loss trends, and regulatory shifts. Stay informed about emerging industry shifts and regulatory developments
Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of related work experience with typically 5+ years managing personal lines insurance products and pricing in varied and complex markets in the P&C insurance industry
- 5+ years managing people
- 3+ years of experience leading product management teams (or other related functions)
- People leadership and actively shaping company culture
- Demonstrated track record of using data to inspire action
- Product management experience for medium to large business accounts
- Strong business knowledge and consultative, results-focused approach
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Solid knowledge of P&C insurance products, pricing, and product management
- Ability to drive collaboration and teamwork across functions
- Expert negotiation and influencing skills
- Advanced research, statistical, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of change management concepts and practices
- MBA strongly preferred
- CPCU certification
- Actuarial designation (ACAS, FCAS)
