Customer Service Representative

Jobot is a reputable organization dedicated to providing exceptional services within the Fresno community. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Customer Service Representative to manage customer interactions and ensure the accuracy of payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and resolving client questions and concerns regarding payroll and customer service issues promptly and professionally
• Setting up special deduction codes within the payroll system for clients, including garnishments, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and voluntary deductions
• Entering alphabetic or numeric data received via telephone or fax accurately, following the displayed format, and assigning necessary codes
• Contacting clients to clarify questions, resolve discrepancies, or address missing data, and making necessary corrections as requested
• Verifying the accuracy of entered data and responding to client inquiries related to payroll information
• Calculating employee payroll taxes based on client-provided information to determine withholding amounts for manual checks
• Assisting fellow Customer Service Representatives with their tasks and processing cancellations of client accounts when needed
• Providing troubleshooting support over the phone to help clients resolve payroll or data-related issues effectively

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably within the service or financial industry
• Proven familiarity with payroll systems and a solid understanding of payroll taxes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally
• Attention to detail is critical, as accuracy in data entry and calculations directly impacts client satisfaction and payroll integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
