Oracle is a leading cloud solutions provider, known for its next-generation cloud platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Senior Principal Product Manager for OCI Compute will be responsible for defining product vision and strategy, driving product development, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet customer needs in the Compute space.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and devise creative solutions to their problems
- Define the product vision and strategy for Compute shapes; formulate 18 month and 3-year hardware roadmaps
- Define pricing for Compute hardware offerings. Should be comfortable with owning marginal cost models and running different cost modeling scenarios
- Launch new Compute hardware products and demonstrate a good knowledge of end-to-end product management from cradle to grave
- Work collaboratively with engineering on product requirements and designs, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and use problem-solving skills to get the job done
- Go-to-market activities, including product positioning, collecting customer references and stories, and evangelizing products both internally and externally
- Provide product demos, training, and assistance for customers
- Following industry trends, market research, and competitive analysis
- Driving internal or external programs to analyze gaps and increase product adoption
- Create content to help enable customer success
- Define, measure, and manage customer experience and business performance goals
- Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that might otherwise derail projects
- Engage and influence executives and leaders independently
- Act as a thought leader and spokesperson for OCI Compute products, representing the company at industry conferences, events, and customer engagements
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Hardware product management background with 10+ years of experience planning hardware offerings
- New product introduction experience with a history of launching multiple hardware product offerings
- Deep knowledge of hardware platforms and systems, familiar with hardware offerings from key vendors like AMD, Intel, Nvidia and Ampere
- Good understanding of L6 and L11 bill of materials and excellent understanding of the processor, memory and SSD component space
- Good knowledge of thermal and cooling systems should be able to articulate various cooling methods in the industry
- Customer-centric, customer-facing, and problem-solving experience in a fast-paced environment
- Deeply technical with an understanding of cloud infrastructure - able to define new features and functionality and synthesize them into what customers want/need
