Jobs via Dice is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support and advance AWS and Azure cloud platforms. The role involves designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructures while ensuring best practices in reliability and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support AWS and Azure cloud foundations, including accounts, subscriptions, landing zones, and guardrails
- Implement cloud best practices focused on reliability, scalability, observability, and governance
- Design and manage cloud networking (VPCs/VNets, routing, security)
- Support and improve platform reliability through automation, monitoring, and incident response
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve infrastructure and platform issues
- Provision and manage clusters, performance tuning, and security configurations
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, application, data, and infrastructure teams
- Document architecture, standards, and operational processes
- Identify platform improvement opportunities and present recommendations
- Lead technical discussions and clearly communicate solutions and decisions
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure
- Strong experience with cloud governance, guardrails, and platform standards
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices and deployment automation
- 5+ years managing Linux‑based systems
- 3+ years using IaC and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt)
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience designing high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong understanding of cloud networking and distributed systems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
