They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Senior Customer Service Representative to manage customer interactions, resolve client inquiries, and ensure the seamless operation of payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and resolve client questions and concerns regarding customer issues in a timely and professional manner
- Set up special deduction codes in the payroll system for clients, including garnishments, HSAs, and voluntary deductions
- Enter alphabetic or numeric data received from clients via telephone or fax, ensuring accuracy and following on-screen formats
- Contact clients to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data, making necessary corrections as requested
- Verify the accuracy of data entered and respond to inquiries regarding payroll information
- Calculate employee payroll taxes using client-provided data to determine withholding amounts for manual checks
- Assist other Customer Service Representatives as needed and process cancellations of client accounts
- Perform troubleshooting to assist clients over the phone when issues arise, providing effective solutions and support
Requirements:
- At least 2 years in customer service, preferably within the service or financial industry
- Proven experience with payroll systems
- Solid understanding of payroll taxes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain complex financial information
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail
- Capacity to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Prior experience in data entry, calculations, and troubleshooting within a payroll environment
