They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Senior Customer Service Representative to manage customer interactions, resolve client inquiries, and ensure seamless payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and resolving client questions and concerns regarding payroll, deductions, and other related issues in a timely and professional manner
- Setting up special deduction codes in the payroll system for clients, including garnishments, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), voluntary deductions, and others
- Entering alphabetic or numeric data received from clients via telephone or fax, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting standards displayed on screen
- Contacting clients to clarify questions, resolve discrepancies, or gather missing data, and making necessary corrections as instructed
- Verifying the accuracy of data entered into the system and responding to client inquiries about payroll data status
- Calculating employee payroll taxes based on information provided by clients to determine appropriate tax withholdings for manual checks
- Assisting other Customer Service Representatives when needed and processing cancellations or modifications of client accounts
- Performing troubleshooting over the phone to assist clients with payroll-related issues and providing solutions to resolve problems efficiently
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably within the service or finance industry
- Proven experience working with payroll systems and a solid understanding of payroll taxes and deductions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and professionally
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, calculations, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality service to clients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist colleagues as needed
