Software Engineer (Scientific and Analytical)

Keystone Recruitment is supporting a high-priority data collection initiative aimed at improving AI systems. The role involves capturing high-fidelity screen recordings and annotations by experienced domain experts using real software environments to train next-generation AI systems.

Responsibilities:

• Record screen sessions demonstrating assigned software tasks with clear, step-by-step verbal narration
• Annotate screenshots by accurately drawing bounding boxes around relevant UI elements
• Follow detailed staging instructions to prepare specific software states prior to recording
• Use a custom capture tool to ensure consistent, high-quality workflow recordings
• Adhere strictly to task guidelines to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and usability

Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of one or more professional analytical or scientific software tools, such as: MATLAB, Origin, Stata, EViews
• Ability to follow precise technical instructions with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
• Access to a physical Mac and ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if required
• Fluent English
• Legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in your country of residence
• Prior experience in data collection, annotation, or quality assurance work
• Experience recording, documenting, or explaining professional workflows
• Comfort working with new tools and staged or controlled environments
