Medasource is seeking an Epic Cutover Project Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all cutover activities for successful Epic implementation go-live. This role ensures operational readiness by managing timelines, dependencies, resources, and risks associated with transitioning from legacy systems to Epic.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the comprehensive Epic cutover plan, including detailed task sequencing, timelines, and ownership
- Coordinate all pre-go-live, go-live, and immediate post-go-live cutover activities
- Lead cutover command center operations during go-live
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT, training, and third-party vendors to align cutover activities
- Ensure clear communication of cutover milestones, expectations, and status updates to stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional cutover meetings and readiness reviews
- Identify cutover risks, dependencies, and potential conflicts
- Develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed
- Monitor readiness checkpoints to ensure timelines remain on track
- Support data conversion, system validation, device readiness, and downtime planning
- Ensure all departments are prepared for workflow transition during go-live
- Validate completion of required cutover tasks prior to activation
- Track and report cutover progress, risks, and readiness status to leadership
- Maintain detailed documentation of cutover plans, playbooks, and lessons learned
Requirements:
- Experience managing cutover activities for Epic implementations
- Strong knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
- Proven project management experience in large-scale system deployments
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complex timelines under high-pressure go-live environments
- Epic implementation experience in a hospital or health system setting
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training
- Experience supporting command center operations during go-live
