About this role
Beacon Hill is seeking a contract AI Project Manager to lead enterprise AI initiatives within a regulated financial services environment. The role requires a strong project management foundation and hands-on experience in Broker-Dealer and Wealth Management sectors to drive AI initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead AI-driven initiatives from concept through deployment within regulated financial services environments
- Partner with Program Leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams including Data Science, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Business Operations
- Ensure AI solutions align with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
- Drive project planning, execution, reporting, and steering committee updates
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, compliance, privacy, and model governance
- Manage change requests, gate approvals, and executive-level status communications
- Maintain structured project documentation and enforce PM standards across workstreams
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Project or Program Management experience within: Broker-Dealer, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Trading environments
- Proven experience leading large, cross-functional technology initiatives (system integrations preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial services business processes (advisory platforms, trading workflows, client onboarding, compliance, reporting)
- Experience delivering AI/ML or advanced data initiatives within a regulated environment
- Deep expertise in: Scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder management; Agile / Scrum / Hybrid methodologies
- Experience managing projects involving: Data governance; Privacy regulations; Model risk / bias considerations
- Strong executive communication skills - ability to translate technical AI concepts into business outcomes
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and enterprise PM tools
- PMP or equivalent PMI certification
- Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.)
- Exposure to AI governance frameworks or responsible AI practices
- Experience with cloud platforms supporting AI workloads
