Standard Metrics is an AI-driven financial data platform that helps investors and their portfolio companies make more informed decisions. As a Sales Development Representative, you will generate new business opportunities, conduct high-level conversations with key stakeholders, and collaborate with Account Executives to fuel the company's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute outbound sales development plan to generate new business opportunities and conduct high-level conversations with key stakeholders in venture capital prospect accounts to fuel our growth
- Write tailored messages and cold call qualified prospects
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to create and prioritize target account lists and book qualified meetings
- Be the first point of contact handling all incoming customer enquiries
- Ensure all data is properly maintained and updated in our CRM
- Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, and develop accounts
- Set meetings & demos between prospective clients and Standard Metrics Account Executives
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Requirements:
- 2+ years of progressive SaaS software sales development experience
- Experience using prospecting tools (Salesforce, Apollo, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, etc)
- Strong networker, connecting with prospects even when outside of sales-motion fostering deep relationships
- Excellent sleuthing, creativity, communication, and writing skills
- Track record of achieving and/or exceeding quotas
- Experience with Private Markets firms, Venture Capital or Private Equity is a plus
