Lulu and Georgia is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their expanding Data & Analytics team. The role involves creating dashboards, training users, and delivering insights to support strategic decisions across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build executive dashboards and KPI scorecards in Looker for leadership team
- Create and maintain departmental dashboards for marketing, merchandising, and operations teams
- Develop self-service analytics solutions to reduce ad-hoc reporting requests
- Ensure data visualization best practices with clear, actionable dashboard design
- Analyze complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights to drive strategic decisions
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets from various sources
- Respond to executive requests for special analysis and strategic insights
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into business performance anomalies
- Create board presentation materials and executive briefing documents
- Support business planning processes with data-driven recommendations
- Train business users on Looker functionality and self-service capabilities
- Create documentation and training materials for dashboard usage and data interpretation
- Support 15 power users with advanced analytical needs and custom reporting
- Lead dashboard governance and user access management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related analytical field
- Equivalent professional experience in business intelligence or analytics roles will be considered in lieu of degree
- Relevant certifications (Snowflake, dbt, Google Analytics, Looker, etc.) are a plus
- 3+ years experience in business intelligence, reporting, or dashboard development
- Proficiency in BI tools (Looker preferred, Tableau/Power BI experience valuable)
- Advanced SQL skills with ability to write complex queries for reporting needs
- Data visualization expertise with strong sense of visualization and extracting insights
- E-commerce metrics expertise: conversion funnels, customer acquisition costs, retention rates
- Digital marketing analytics: channel attribution, campaign ROI, customer journey analysis
- Inventory and merchandising analytics: product performance, seasonal trends, demand planning
- Financial reporting: P&L impact analysis, margin analysis, revenue forecasting
- Executive presentation skills with ability to communicate insights to C-level audiences
- Training and documentation experience for user enablement initiatives
- Project management skills to handle multiple reporting requests and priorities
- Business partnership approach with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams
- Looker development experience including LookML and advanced dashboard features
- Data modeling understanding to collaborate effectively with Analytics Engineers
- Database performance knowledge for query optimization and efficiency
- BI tool administration including user management and security settings
- Home goods or furniture retail experience with category-specific analytics
- Direct-to-consumer business model familiarity and associated metrics
- Shopify analytics or other e-commerce platform reporting experience
- Growth-stage company experience with evolving reporting needs
- dbt exposure or willingness to learn modern data transformation frameworks
- Python or R for advanced analytics automation
- GA4 and Google Analytics expertise for web analytics integration
