As a User Experience Designer, you will design and develop user interfaces for metric dashboards and web applications, collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences across the Raytheon Digital application portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, architects, developers, and users to deliver intuitive and effective user experiences for applications and metric solutions
- Conduct and analyze user research to document user goals, decisions, information needs, tasks, and workflows
- Plan and execute the following: User and stakeholder interviews, Creation of personas and Jobs to Be Done (JTBDs), Usability evaluations and assessments, Storyboards, journey maps, user flows, and wireframes
- Design and prototype solutions with a focus on modular, reusable components
- Develop design artifacts for communication, specification, and testing purposes
- Write Agile development user stories to guide implementation
- Present and communicate design work effectively to stakeholders and team members
- Support the broader UX team in implementing best practices and accessibility standards
- Promote user-centered design and design thinking methodologies across projects
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Experience with designing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
- Experience conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing, and the creation of personas, journey maps, and workflows
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular, and JavaScript
- Experience working in the aerospace and defense industry
