Senior Project Engineer

Metric Geo is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a PE licence and a strong foundation in civil or structural design. This role involves applying technical expertise to forensic investigations and addressing complex engineering challenges. The position offers a unique opportunity for engineers to transition from design to forensics or advance their existing forensic careers.

Responsibilities:

• Field investigations and damage assessments across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify design deficiencies
• Conduct building envelope and structural assessments (concrete, steel, timber, masonry, roofing, foundations)
• Perform engineering analysis and code research to develop repair recommendations
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports and expert evaluations

Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (PE) licence required
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Strong design experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to travel within the state and region
• Prior forensic exposure beneficial
