SitusAMC is a company focused on transforming client businesses and careers within the Real Estate Industry. They are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure in the cloud environment, implementing security measures and collaborating with teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Help build and define our cloud security posture. Enable cyber resilience. Help implement various zero trust initiatives
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security controls for cloud hosted infrastructure, applications and data
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks. Automate cloud security controls to ensure threat, vulnerabilities and risk are minimized
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements as it relates to cloud engineering
- Monitor and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security practices
- Partner with IT infrastructure team to improve the overall reliability and security of our cloud infrastructure
- Work with teams and stakeholders throughout SitusAMC to address security concerns in the cloud
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent job experience
- Experienced professional with 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at a Senior Analyst or Analyst level role or external equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of direct relevant work experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their security features
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as CSPM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform)
- Familiarity with container security technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Have familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling
- Knowledge of encryption and key management practices
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards like CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
- Excellent risk based problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar preferred but not required
